Here's everything you need to know for the 2024 annual Shreveport-Bossier City, LA Children's Mardi Gras Parade on Fat Tuesday!

What's the scoop on the annual Fat Tuesday Children's Parade in Shreveport-Bossier?

This year's Children's Mardi Gras Parade is going down on Fat Tuesday which is Tuesday, February 13, 2024, in the parking lot of Pierre Bossier Mall. This parade is for the kids and it's 100% alcohol-free.

The parade will start by the entrance to JCPenney at Pierre Bossier Mall at 6 pm and roll around the outside of the mall. The route is about a mile long. This year's theme is 'American Heroes' and parade attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite hero. This year's Grand Marshall is Paul Lopez, Captain of Captains for our local Mardi Gras Krewes, and he will be representing as Captain America. There will also be food trucks on site as well as face painting!

I know a lot of people questioned if the children's parade would continue after the end of the Krewe de les Femmes Mystique, and it has, thanks to Fat Tuesday Children's Parade of Shreveport & Bossier City committee and their sponsors which include Hedy and Don Hebert, Blazin' Racing, Facelift Facepainting, LLC, King's Highway Exxon, and Jean Simpson Personnel Services, Inc. Thank you so much for coming together to make sure our area has a child-friendly and most of all safe venue for families with children to celebrate Mardi Gras with no drunks allowed!
