We are all eagerly awaiting the Krewe of Centaur's 28th Annual Mardi Gras Parade! "Centaur Rocks" will get rolling Saturday, February 23, 2019, at 4:30 p.m. Jordan Davis who has become one of our favorite country artists will return to his home state to serve as the 2019 Grand Marshall. Here is what we know so far about the Krewe of Centaur Parade, there will be 34 throwing floats, 2 different marching bands, dancing groups, and live bands present. Over 700 Krewe members will be throwing more than 180,000 cups, over 2 million beads, over 20,000 lighted beads, and 43,000 specialty items including koozies, stuffed animals, footballs, toys, and flashing trinkets.

The parade will start at Clyde Fant Parkway at Lake Street in Shreveport. If you are used to taking golf carts and four-wheelers, this is the year you will get called out on it. Leave the golf cart or anything motorized at home and spare yourself from getting pulled off to the side and your day being ruined. Don't forget to have a good time and catch all the loot and beads you possibly can!
