The Krewe of Centaur celebrate 25 years in Shreveport-Bossier with its annual parade.

The city of Shreveport-Bossier partied the night away as the Krewe of Centaur rolled out its annual parade. We saw everything from jesters and pirates to crawfish boils and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Some of the people I talked to say that they had set up their tailgate area at 5 a.m. It was a full day of partying for them as the parade rolled at 4:30 p.m. The city watched as day turned to night and floats illuminated to light up the route.

I love these parades.

It's really neat to see the community come together as well as people from surrounding areas. They're all there for the same reason, to celebrate Mardi Gras. And the beautiful thing is, no one is a stranger while they're there.

These are truly good times, and we love to let them roll!
