As if the round of closings (both temporary and permanent) we experienced during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic weren't enough, residents in the Shreveport/Bossier City area are starting to see some of the most beloved establishments start to fold once again.

Another One Bites the Dust

The latest eatery to make the tough decision to close their doors for good is my son's personal favorite pizza buffet - Larry's Pizza.  The owners of this super-fun restaurant/arcade made the announcement on their Facebook page to the disappointment of everyone who has loved their delicious Pizza Parade, the Karaoke nights, and the amazing fun of the arcade.

Why is Larry's Closing?

No information pertaining to the reason for the closing was given at the time of this report, but being a longtime patron of Larry's has provided me with a bit of insight here.  My family and I enjoyed a fun meal with family there just over a month ago, and we noticed that a sign on the door of the restaurant showed that they were forced to close on Wednesdays and Sundays due to a lack of employees necessary to run the business.  I'd be surprised if that didn't factor into their decision to close permanently.

You Haven't Missed Your Last Opportunity to Eat at Larry's...Yet

The last opportunity for Larry's fans comes on Saturday, August 28th.  If you need one last fix before the doors close forever - you'd better move quick.
