If you're gonna square off against Lorde and Jack Antonoff in an out and out talent show, you better bring your A-game.

The friends and collaborators, who worked together on tracks across Lorde's critically acclaimed Melodramateamed up for a series of performances at Wednesday night's (January 24) annual Ally Coalition Talent Show in New York City. In front of an eager crowd, they performed Carly Rae Jepsen's "Run Away With Me," delivered a tribute to the late Dolores O'Riordan with a cover of The Cranberries' "Dream" and even took on a Roy Orbison tune.

According to The Ally Coordination's website, the organization "takes action for LGBTQ equality. Through tours, special events, and online campaigns, we highlight systemic inequality and organizations supporting LGBTQ youth, and opportunities for fans to engage with these issues." January 24's show was the fourth annual event, and also featured sets from National, Spoon, Shamir, Kacey Musgraves and comedian Aparna Nancherla among others, according to Pitchfork.

In March 2017, Antonoff opened up about the origins of his friendship with Lorde in a series of tweets amid the release of Lorde's "Green Light," which Antonoff produced.

"[I] met Ella years ago at a Grimes show. We talked about Robyn and drum ideas. Today I feel very proud of every day with her since," he noted. "Ella and I made Green Light in [New York City] in my apartment in a very small studio that looks like a club house. Nobody around. Just her and I wondering if we could get away with that chord change when the 'I hear sounds' bit begins...not many living artists like ella."
