All the respect in the world goes to those who choose to work in law enforcement. Congrats to our new troopers!

This week, Louisiana State Police welcomed 51 new troopers as part of their 99th cadet class. 51 cadets willing to put it all on the line to make their communities, and our state as a whole, a much safe place. They have all of my respect, without question.

To become a Louisiana State Trooper, these cadets had to endure 23 weeks of absolutely intense training During the 23-weeks of training at the Louisiana State Police Academy, cadets undergo a combination of both classroom and physical drills, as well as plenty of hands-on instruction.
