Louisiana Tech snapped its 12-game losing streak to LSU with a 12-1 beating of the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge last night.

It was La Tech’s first win over the LSU Tigers since 1987.

The Bulldogs laid out 17 hits, including Mason Mallard's three doubles. Mallard also drove in three runs, while Tanner Huddleston drove in four runs.

Tech put 2 runs on the board in the first inning to take the 2-0 lead, then added two more in the third inning, and one run in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings, before exploding for 4 runs in the 8th inning. They added an extra run in the ninth to make it an even dozen on the night.

LSU's lone run came in the seventh inning, when Sophomore Daniel Cabrera got his 40th RBI of the season when he pushed Cade Beloso across the plate.

Three Tech pitchers held LSU to four hits.
