BATON ROUGE--LSU students will have to attend classes on two Saturdays as part of the universities effort to make up instructional time lost to the February winter storms.

According to an email sent to students and parents, the university will hold makeup classes on the following days:

  • Saturday, March 6 (for classes originally scheduled for Monday, February 15)
  • Friday, March 12 (for classes originally scheduled for Friday, February 19)
  • Thursday, March 25 (for classes originally scheduled for Thursday, February 18)
  • Saturday, April 10 (for classes originally scheduled for Wednesday, February 17)

Faculty members will decide if they will hold their respective makeup classes virtually or in person. University officials say students should check with their professors to find out when and how their classes will be conducted. Students who have unavoidable conflicts must contact their professors as soon as possible to make arrangements.

University officials add that the winter storm will delay the posting of midterm grades. Those marks will now be posted on March 16.

These changes do not affect students at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, the LSU Veterinarian School, or the LSU Online programs.
