Hero Horse Move-in Day

Over the weekend, we finally moved the heroes of Hero Horse Therapeuitic Riding Center to their new home! So far, the horses are loving their new home, the attention, and the grass!

It's been a bittersweet weekend for me personally though. While I'm realizing a dream to be able to help people heal through horses, my babies aren't in my front yard anymore. That's a hard pill to swallow for any horse owner and will be a huge change for me and my mother on top of all of the other changes happening in my life personally.

However, I know this is the right thing to do. I've personally seen the miracle that horses can make in a person's life. Whether it's stress and anxiety, PTSD, Autism, eating disorders, you name it, therapeutic riding and Equine Assisted Activities can be effective where medication and talk therapy leave off.

We don't have firm date yet for the opening of Hero Horse yet. We still have quite a few improvements to make to the facility and we have to finish our certification process and (hopefully) finalize our non-profit 501(c)3 status. There's a lot of work to do, but we're up for it.

Thank you to all of our volunteers, friends and family who came out to lend a hand and their support this weekend; We have the best tribe in the world!

Pressure and Sweetheart enjoy checking out their new paddock!

Fred, Neal and Honey are loving all of the lush grass in their new paddock.
