As we all know, fireworks can be extremely dangerous if not handled correctly - not just for kids, but also adults. Everything can change in a split second and New York Giants' Jason Pierre-Paul knows that first hand.

Recently, New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul appeared on a PSA the importance of fireworks safety after having a firecracker explode in his hand, lose his finger and change his life forever.

His two tips to others during the PSA were:

"keep fireworks away from kids" and to leave fireworks "to the fireworks professionals."
