One Lane of I-49 is Open
Just before 10pm Saturday night, Louisiana State Police opened one of the southbound lanes of flooded I-49.
According to the LA DOTD website more lanes have been opened this morning. As of 8:44am, the right lanes of both the north and southbound lanes of I-49 are blocked between the Stonewall/Frierson and the Southern Loop exits due to flooding, leaving one lane open each direction.
The Interstate was closed to traffic Thursday between the Stonewall/Frierson and Bert Kouns exits, forcing traffic to divert to Hwy 171.
