The Shreveport Mudbugs are back on home ice at George's Pond in Hirsch Coliseum Friday and Saturday nights at 7:11 pm for their Military Appreciation Weekend as they take on the Topeka Pilots!

Warrior Horse Kickoff Fundraiser
Warrior Horse is an equine therapy program for veterans suffering from PTSD based in Frierson, LA that Kevin Russell began developing five years ago. The program finally launches Friday night with a fundraiser kickoff inside the Horseshoe Riverdome with guest speaker Johnny ‘Joey’ Jones, a retired Marine with an incredible story!

Mardi Gras Madness
The Krewe of Akewa from Minden kicks off the weekend Friday night with their Grand Bal XV being held at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge in Shreveport at 7 pm with a 'Rags to Riches' theme. Then Saturday, the Krewe of Atlas will take over the Shreveport Convention Center for their Grand Bal XI celebrating the Age of Aquarius starting at 6 pm. Sunday, the Krewe of Barkus and Meoux will host their annual Jazz Brunch at Margaritaville's Paradise Theater as they usher in their 20th year of service to the animals of the Ark-La-Tex starting at 11:30 am.

Louisiana Life March
This year's annual Louisiana Life March starts at 10 am at the Louisiana Boardwalk with participants marching across the Texas Street Bridge to Shreveport's Festival Plaza to hear multiple speakers and fellowship with others supporting pro-life efforts in our community.

Hoot & Holler Archery is hosting the Ark-La-Tex Archery Festival this Saturday and Sunday at the State Fair of Louisiana Fairgrounds in the Ag Center with five indoor tournaments under one roof.
