UPDATE: KSLA now reports that SPD are currently involved in a standoff situation with a suspect.

Original Story: There are currently over 30 Shreveport Police units, and reportedly member of the US Marshals, on the scene where two bodies were found burning in a car this week.

Earlier this week, police and fire units were dispatched to Shreveport's Queensborough where they discovered a car on fire near two abandoned buildings. Inside the vehicle was the gruesome discovery of two bodies.

The location of the burning car scene was on Penick St, near San Jacinto Ave. Tonight, the investigation is in the same neighborhood, and on Penick St, but now it appears authorities are focused between Grove St. and Jewella Ave.

There have been theories shared this week that the suspect could live in the area where the burning car was discovered. Tonight's activity could possibly be related to that investigation, but there has been no official word from Shreveport Police, or the US Marshals, on whether or not there is any connection.
