PHONE SCAM – Shreveport Police Warn Public

Be aware! There is another phone scam in Shreveport and police are urging citizens to screen your calls.

The Shreveport Police Department have issued a warning to the citizens of Shreveport claiming that there are phone calls being made from people claiming to represent the Shreveport Police Department and Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office.

In fact, the callers are claiming to be Shreveport Chief of Police Willie Shaw and Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator. The callers are telling citizens that they owe money and if not paid, a warrant will be issued for their arrest. This is absolutely NOT true.

If anyone receives these calls, please call the Shreveport Police Department or the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office.
