One man is recovering after being shot in the face early this morning. According to Shreveport Police, they were called to the Highland area around 4:30 this morning after complaints of gunfire from residents.

When they arrived on Dalzell Street between Creswell Avenue and Scovell Court, they discovered blood and shell casings in the roadway and a man with a gun shot wound to the face. Police say the man was shot in the jaw in front of his home. Another person at the home was present at the time of the shooting but was not harmed.

At this time, investigators believes an argument between the victim and gunman is what ultimately led to the shooting. At this time, no arrests have been made. The shooter is said to be driving a white sedan.

Police say the shooting victim will make a full recovery.
