Power Outages as a Result of Winter Storm

 Thousands of Swepco customers are in the dark today as the winter storm has caused outages across the region.

Bossier Parish: 3,071
Webster Parish: 259
DeSoto Parish: 3,247
Bienville Parish: 75
Natchitoches Parish: 3,036
Sabine Parish: 1,949
Harrison County: 4,255
Panola County: 3,601
Shelby County: 791

Swepco officials have been working through the night to get the power restored. The heavy snow caused tree branches to fall into power lines.

Late Sunday night, there were still about 40,000 homes without power.
