Get those carving tools ready because it's that time of year again! Shreveport, LA's 31st Annual Pumpkin Shine On Line is just around the corner, and you're invited!
When is this year's Pumpkin Shine on Line in Shreveport, LA?
On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Betty Virginia Park off of Line Avenue in Shreveport, LA will be transformed into a Halloween wonderland, with over 1,000 brilliantly carved and painted pumpkins casting a warm glow. It's an event for everyone—kids, families, and folks of all ages.
This beloved annual event is brought to you by Southfield School and SPAR, and here's the best part: it won't cost you a dime! You'll be amazed by the incredible artistry on display, showcasing the talents of our community. As you stroll through Betty Virginia Park, you'll be treated to live performances by local school choirs, cheer and dance groups, and more!
When hunger strikes, no worries! Concession stands will be open, so you can munch on some delicious treats while helping make our park even better. Local judges will announce prize winners from area schools at 7:30 p.m., with cash awards totaling $1,500 to benefit school art programs. There will be individual prizes and recognition as well.
Getting there is a breeze—just hop on the free iShuttle that runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. from the parking lot of the former Sears at Mall St. Vincent. It's a super convenient, hassle-free way to get to the event.
So, circle the date on your calendar, gather your friends and family, and come join us for a magical night surrounded by pumpkins, good food, and great company. The 31st Annual Pumpkin Shine On Line is all about celebrating creativity, community, and the Halloween spirit. Don't miss out!
If the event has to be postponed due to rain, the rain-out date is Wednesday, October 18th, 2023.
