R.W. Norton Art Gallery announced that they would be canceling their biggest event of the year and we were devastated. BLOOM! was supposed to take over the SBC on March 28th and so many folks that are active in the art community were ready to welcome spring. Unfortunately, the coronavirus is causing several of us to hit that pause button. At first, we thought it would just be BLOOM! now we find out they're closing the museum until April 19th.

"Due to the confirmed presence of Covid-19 in the Shreveport community, the R. W. Norton Art Gallery will be closed to the public effective Saturday 14 March through Sunday 19 April. We feel that honoring this threat to the health of the public and our staff by closing is the least we can do, however conservative this action may appear to some.
Please visit our website at www.rwnaf.org or follow us on social media for any updates to this schedule as the local situation evolves. This closure only applies to the museum and museum/community events; the gardens will remain open to the public with our regular operating hours from sunrise to sunset."
