DOTD says this closure is scheduled to take place between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, and is necessary to allow Union Pacific Railroad to perform repairs to those railroad tracks. All traffic will be forced to detour as this will be a complete closure with detour signage in place. As with all DOTD projects, this work will be done weather permitting.

DOTD advises motorists that the heavily travelled LA 169 (the Dixie-Mooringsport Road) at the Kansas City Southern railroad crossing immediately east of LA 538 (Old Mooringsport Road) in Mooringsport, will be closed.

This closure is scheduled to take place from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, and is necessary to allow KCS to perform repairs to their railroad tracks.

Of course, this work will also be done weather permitting. Detour signage will be in place and it will be a total road closure, so all vehicles will be required to detour.
