Ref Abuse Law Has Officially Gone Into Affect

Before the refs take the field, be prepared to give them a little less grief.

Let me start by saying this, as someone who has spent a lot of time angry at amateur referees, it's just not a good look. I say that with quite a bit of personal reflection, as I know I, like many of you, are guilty of giving a ref an earful.

Legally, though, that is now no longer allowed moving forawrd.

The law put in place to help prevent ref abuse in amatuer and high school sports and now taken effect.

This new law would allow officers to remove, and possibly arrest people who threaten physical violence against amateur refs. So remember, even though you, your mom, your neighbor, your teacher, and everyone else in attendance knows it was a complete pass, but the referee does not, take it easy on him, or it could land you in some big trouble.
