Here is a super cool way to have your weekly science class with the kids while in isolation. According to space.com, tonight the Lyrid Meteor Shower will be peaking and you can watch it from the comfort of your home. Take a blanket or some chairs and watch this stellar sight. Known as the "Old Faithful" of meteor showers, this spectacular sight coincides with the new moon.

There should not be any issues seeing the meteor shower because of the new moon. You can see the show any night through April 25.

Tonight you can see anywhere from ten to twenty meteors per hour. This is more visible if you live in an area with minimal bright lights and have dark, clear skies. The best time to see the Lyrid shower for our area would be around 1:00am.

Even if you have few clouds this evening, you still have till Saturday, April 25 to catch a glimpse. Something else you can do while at home is visit nasa.gov to see what the Hubble Telescope captured on your birthday.
