Legislation has recently filled for convicted felons to be allowed to vote. As stated by news sources, the convicted felons must be on parole and out of jail for at least five years.

This was brought up last year but it didn't go anywhere. What is different from last year's proposal is the limitation of being about to vote after 5 years of being released from jail.

What is being argued is that since folks who come out of jail are trying to get back into society they should be able to contribute to the world around them. It is also being argued that since they can not contribute it causes them to become isolated and unworthy causing more issues in the long run.

What do you think?
