In 2014 accused sexual predator, and Baton Rouge television personality Scott Rogers was killed in a murder suicide at his home in Iberville Parish that rocked the community. And the whole sordid story on what actually happened will be the subject of a featured documentary on the Investigation Discovery Network's "The Lies That Bind" series this Wednesday, August 19 at 8:00 PM CST. The episode is called "Lying King: The Scott Rogers Story".

The 52 year old English native was a beloved member of the community, a socialite, and had his own "Around Town" public access show for 15 years. But he had a secret life, and that will be documented in the upcoming two hour show. The doc will feature reports from some well known Baton Rouge television reporters that include WBRZ's Chris Nakamoto and former WBRZ employees/reporters Ryan Naquin and Rob Krieger.

Rogers was shot and killed by his son in law in 2014, and it was later revealed that the two men were in a long term sexual relationship. The son in law, Matthew Hodgkinson, also killed himself. The show was filmed in and around Baton Rouge, and features the Iberville Parish law enforcement officials who were first on the scene. You can see a promo for the show (from WBRZ) here. In 2015 they also devoted almost an entire newscast to the story, which you can watch here.
