Shreveport-Bossier’s 318 Restaurant Week
Trust me on this... Next week is not the week to plan on brown-bagging it! Whether it's a quick delicious lunch with friends or you're more of an intimate dinner for two type of person, I promise you, one of our local eateries can feed your cravings during 318 Restaurant Week!
Shreveport-Bossier's 318 Restaurant Week kicks off Monday, March 15, 2021, and runs through Saturday, March 20th, 2021. Participating restaurants are offering special menu items for the week as well as special pricing and dining experiences. Lunches are $10 and under while dinners are all $20 and under. While scrolling the 318 Restaurant Week page on Facebook, I found several offers that I plan to take advantage of! Cuban Liquor is offering a $10 'grab and go' cheese board for lunch that really looks good! Fat's Oyster House is doing $10 or less lunches all week and Abby Singer's Bistro is offering a Steak Pineapple Bowl during lunch for just $10!
If you'd rather venture out after hours, Abby Singer's Bistro has a Salmon and Shrimp Pineapple Bowl for dinner for $10. Want to expand your palate? Try the Wild Boar Scaloppini dinner special at Bella Fresca for $20. Craving something that'll stick to your ribs? Try the two meat dinner at Big Nate's BBQ & More for $20. Yum!
And for those of you who can't eat out without posting a picture of your meal, make sure to use the #Eat318! You can even take a picture with the human-sized sculpture in the East Bank District to commemorate the week!
You can stand on this human-sized #Eat318 sculpture, right now through 318 Restaurant Week, which takes place March...
I think it goes without saying, this year it's more important than ever to support our local restaurants and service industry. Tourism is a big draw for our area and that's how 318 Restaurant Week came to be in the first place. The event is a promotion of the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau. I reached out to Brandy Evans, their Vice President of Communications, about the impact of this year's event and she said, "This is the most important year for 318 Restaurant Week. Our restaurants have been battered for a year now by the pandemic and then slammed again by Winter Storm Uri. The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau and our sponsors hope the community will support these restaurants, who are a part of the cultural bedrock of our community. People can order food to-go or dine in based on their comfort levels. But we hope that they will enjoy the $10 lunch and $20 dinner specials."
Amen! Let's all go out to eat in support of our friends, family, neighbors. I'm pretty sure the calories don't count!
