The massive storm system that rolled through the Shreveport Bossier area overnight has dumped several inches of rain on our area. This is causing some problems on the roads.

We have been under warnings and watches including flash flood warnings.

UPDATE: Most of the flooded areas reported by law enforcement this morning are now passable.

Bossier City Police Department sent out this list of high water spots:

1) 1500 block of Barksdale Blvd

2) Tinsley at Shed Road

3) Moffitt Mazda area on Old Minden Rd.

4) 1400 block of Airline Dr.

5) I-220 exit ramp to Airline Dr (east bound)

We have either barricaded these areas or have marked units in place. Please remember that this list is not all inclusive and several residential areas are also dealing with flooded streets. We advise all motorists not to drive through the high water and expect delays in travel this morning.

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office reports high water on several roadways today:

I-20 E at mile marker 4

LA 173 at N Lakeshore Drive
LA 173 at Bostwick

KEEL News also saw high water along Youree Drive from Southfield to I-20. We also saw high water on the on-ramp to I-20 west from Spring Street.

Be extra careful and slow down if you spot standing water in the roadway. Find an alternate route if possible.
