On September 19th, 2022, at 7:35 p.m. Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a shooting on Salem Drive. Arriving officers located a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by the Shreveport Fire Department to a local area hospital where he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Investigators with the Violent Crimes and Crime Scene Units were summoned to the scene and located the original crimes scene at the corner of Mackey Lane and Walker Road. The victim is believed to have been shot at this location and fled to Salem Drive on foot.

The Crime Scene Unit collected items of evidence and investigators canvassed the neighborhood searching for witnesses and video. This investigation is on-going.
