Shreveport police are continuing their investigation on a shooting that claimed a man’s life Wednesday evening. On March 10, 2021, just before 6:00 p.m., Shreveport Police were called to the 100 block of Hamilton Street to a shooting.  Officers located a man who was suffering from multiple gunshot injuries to the upper body. The victim was transported to Ochsner LSU health with life-threatening injuries where he later died.

Investigators responded to this location to conduct their investigation. Detectives have spoken with multiple witnesses, combed the area, and collected evidence. Investigators learned that the victim was shot while sitting in a vacant lot near this location. At his time there is no other information. This is an on-going investigation.
