There's nothing I like to see more than a young person commit to a sport and find success! And that is exactly what's happening with local Grace Sharplin.

Grace is a fellow member of the local Tri-State Dressage Society and through her hard work and dedication, she has qualified to compete in the United States Equestrian Federation Dressage Seat Medal Finals at Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, IL next month. I know that's a huge title for the uninitiated, but this is a BIG DEAL!

Grace is representing Region 9, which includes Louisiana, in this esteemed event and in order to fund her travels, she and her family are hosting a 'mobile bake sale.' This is your chance to support a young athlete and enjoy either a delicious pound cake or tea cake. The best thing is, they'll deliver and YOU set the price. As my buddy Gary says, 'Give until it feels good!' I encourage you to do the same as the estimated cost for this competition is $3,270. That amount covers transportation, entry fees, and lodging for both Grace and her her mount Double Dutch.

If you would like to place an order for a pound cake, tea cake or both, you can private message Grace via Facebook. You can also pay for your 'cake for equestrians' to make it a contact free exchange or just make a donation by venmo @Jane-Sharplin. Good luck Grace! Make us proud!
