Shreveport Police Department (SPD) Patrol officers contacted the Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT) after seeing several people running into an apartment with guns.

According to reports, a Black male was observed walking through the parking lot, pulling on car door handles, and taking items from the bed of a white Chevrolet pickup truck.

The incident occurred on May 21 at approximately 9 AM, at the 3900 block of Caliburn Drive.

The call indicated a white male, reportedly armed with a firearm, had been sighted within the establishment.

United States Attorney Brandon B. Brown announced that Broxstonie Demichael Mitchell, 37, of Shreveport, has pleaded guilty.

This investigation remains active and ongoing.
