One of Mel Brooks' laugh-out-loud comedies is headed to Shreveport-Bossier.

Max Bialystock is a musical producer who has been down on his luck. He can't put out a decent production to save his life. Until Leo Bloom walks into his office. Leo is a brilliant accountant who left his job to pursue his dream of becoming a Broadway producer.

Bialystock is reluctant to take Bloom on since he barely has money to feed himself. However, Bloom lets it slip, that a flop could actually garner more money that a hit. Bialystock is sold. They'll create a storyline, put together the musical, raise $2 million dollars and when the time is right, they'll split for Rio.

Now, to come up with the worst flop Broadway has ever seen!

The Strand Theatre brings this comedic genius to Shreveport-Bossier on Sunday, January 17 at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $35.50-$68.50. You can purchase tickets at or by calling 318-226-8555.
