The school year is just around the corner, but the worst summer heat is yet to come. sleeping during the dog days of summer can be tough. There are things you can do to enhance your sleep in the summer heat.

#1: Turn your thermostat down before retiring. Research indicates we sleep best when the bedroom temperature is in the mid 60s.

#2 Don't have A/C? Put a bowl of ice in front of a fan.

#3 Sleep on cotton sheets. They "breathe" better than satin, or polyester.

#4 use your ceiling fan.

#5 Swap out your winter comforter, or duvet, for a lighter weight summer one.
