OK ladies, you might want to pay attention for this this one. We all know everything you read on the internet is true, right? I stumbled across this headline today: "Lipstick study opens up concerns about carcinogen." A new study suggests lipstick may not be good for you.

Researchers at the University of California-Berkeley's School of Public Health tested 32 lipsticks and lip glosses found they contain lead, cadmium, chromium, aluminum and five other metals. Even worse, toxic levels were present in some.

However, the Food and Drug Administration say the levels found pose no safety concerns.

Chief Toxicologist Linda Loretz with the Personal Care Products Council said the findings need to be put in context.

"Food is a primary source for many of these naturally present metals, and exposure from lip products is minimal in comparison," said Loretz.
