If you hoped the rain in Louisiana would only be here for a short amount of time, I have some bad news.

Earlier, while on the air, I found myself in the middle of a rant in regards to our current weather situation. I just hate the weather the way it is right now, without question, this is my least favorite weather. It's not storming in Shreveport-Bossier, at least not yet, but for the last couple of days it's been dreary outside with a constant light rain.

I am not a fan.

The weather right now is just depressing, and I find myself feeling way more tired than normal during the work-day. So, after my rant, I went to the forecast to see how long Tropical Storm Nicholas is going to be sticking around.

After digging a little bit, I learned that the center of the storm isn't even close to Louisiana yet, and it's moving very slowly. Experts predict the center of the storm won't make it to Louisiana by Wednesday. Meaning we've only just begun, and this storm might stick with us for the remainder of the week. The worst part, especially for South Louisiana, is that TS Nicholas is dropping tons of rain, and moving incredibly slow.

Currently, a flash flood watch is already in place for the majority of South Louisiana, and that will most likely remain in place for the next couple of days. Stacey Denson with the National Weather Service, says, "We’re expecting anywhere from five to ten inches across the region with localized higher amounts up to 15 inches possible.”

She also says that it could be until late-Thursday when our weather conditions improve.

Buckle down Louisiana, we just can't seem to catch a break lately.
