I am in Orlando Florida at Walt Disney World with the Children's Miracle Network and I am learning so much. Every penny we raise during our Townsquare Media radiothon stays right here in our community. The Children's Miracle Network is designed to help kids right here in our community. No matter what the diagnosis the kids can stay home and receive the best care in the world. Here is a list of the programs and a brief description of the services offered.
Birth Baby & Beyond- Offers free health and wellness classes everything from breastfeeding to infant CPR.
The Birthplace- Maternity care for mothers, newborns and families.
Pediatric Hospital Services- Family centered care provided throughout the hospital.
Christus Pediatric Associates- Board certified pediatricians providing pediatric care.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit- A regional level III NCIU offers the highest level of care.
Prenatal Transport -24/7 transport team specifically designed to bring mothers and babies to our regional level III in NICU.
Maternal – Fetal Medicine -Offers a physician specializing in care for high – risk moms and babies with complicated pregnancies.
Cara Center- Partnering with the Louisiana State University health sciences center helps in the diagnosis management and prevention of child abuse and neglect to both physical and sexual.
Teen Mom Program - Program designed to help young moms graduate and develop life skills.
Kids Clinic- Offers pediatric physical occupational and speech – language therapy from birth to age 21.
Wound Care For Kids - Offers pediatric outpatient wound care service center.
Tobacco Control Program -Designed to keep kids tobacco free or help them quit smoking
School Based Health Center- Program provides access to medical, nursing, behavioral counseling, oral health, nutrition education, and health promotion in four local schools: Atkins Technology Elementary, J.S. Clark Elementary, Linwood Public Charter School and Woodlawn Leadership Academy.
Christus Kids- Program designed to promote healthy habits and life skills.
Christus Strength - A powerlifting team for boys and girls ages 8 to 18.
Christus Louisiana aquatics from beginning swim lessons to an Olympic level coached swim team.
Sports Medicine- Partnering with Highland Clinic, the Sports Medicine Program provides certified athletic trainers to help in the prevention and rehabilitation of injuries in five local high schools: Captain Shreve, Haughton, Loyola College Prep, North DeSoto and Parkway.
