Why Eat Tacos When You Can Eat Quesadillas?
I may be weird, okay, don't comment on that, but I really don't understand all of the hoopla over tacos and 'Taco Tuesdays' when there are perfectly good quesadillas out there...
Maybe it's just me, but I've never been a crunchy taco kind of girl. Soft tacos are okay, but give me a quesadilla any day. That's why I'm excited to hear that Dillas Quesadillas out of Texas is coming to Louisiana, specifically, Shreveport! They've teamed up with Pete John, which should be a familiar name to you because of Raising Cane's, to establish the Primeaux Restaurant Group. The expect to open their first location together in September in the Towne Oaks Square Shopping Center on Pierremont Road in Shreveport where Pie Works was previously.
According to the press release, these won't be your average, everyday quesadillas, they'll be gourmet, with your choice of ingredients like Texas-style smoked brisket, zucchini and portobella mushrooms. Other options include the bacon cheeseburger with fries quesadilla and the veggie Dilla. They'll also feature their famous fresh squeezed limeade.
I don't know about you, but I'm down to try a quesadilla stuffed with cheese, brisket and mushrooms and wash it down with a limeade! September can't get here soon enough! I'm all for more food choices, supporting local entrepreneurs and creating jobs! Here's the official press release for those who want more information:
