This may not be a big deal to you, but hearing that a new wing contender looking at expanding their presence in Louisiana is music to my ears!  I love wings, and I think my son loves them even more.  We have had the pleasure of dining at the finest wing establishments in the Shreveport / Bossier City area, and I like to think we've formed a pretty acute sense for awesome wings and I can't wait to try these!

This small, but wildly popular East Coast wing franchise has been growing steadily westward over the past few years, gaining it's southernmost foothold in Houston, Texas.  Now, the company has it's eyes on multiple Louisiana locations.

According to the inside scoop from Franchising.com, this specialty "wing 'n whiches" peddler is looking to open restaurants in what the report calls key growth markets in a handful of cites across the south including (but not limited to) Baton Rouge and New Orleans. So far, Shreveport/Bossier hasn't been mentioned in the conversation - but it' certainly not out of the question.

How can a restaurant chain of any kind flourish in this pandemic? Wing It On's business model seems to depend on it.  An astounding 90% of the revenue reportedly comes from take out and delivery.  Not only can franchise owners count on that stream a lot more than dine-in numbers - the actual floor plan of the restaurant won't have much (if any) room for diners so it's smaller.  That means location is flexible and rent will be lower.

If this push is successful, we could very well see this chain explode across the south - especially in Louisiana.  Check out the menu full of wings, chicken sandwiches, and more on the chain's official website here, and cross your fingers that the powers that be have heard how much we love wings.
