$40,000 for Hair? Really?

Okay, it’s not just anyone’s hair.  It belongs to The Beib!

On Feb. 23,  after Justin Bieber cut his hair,  he gave a lock of it to Ellen DeGeneres as a belated birthday present.  (Her 53rd birthday was Jan. 26.)

“I’m giving pieces of it to different people,” he said at the time, so that it could be auctioned off for charity.

Ellen took it to heart, and now the show has has just announced that the hair sold for $40,668.   All proceeds are going to the Gentle Barn Foundation, which rescues and rehabilitates farm animals in need of help.

The online casino GoldenPalace.com made the winning bid.
