Are The Robertsons and Duck Commander the New Independence Bowl Sponsor?

According to 1130 The Tiger morning show host Tim Fletcher, Shreveport's Independence Bowl has found a new title sponsor: the West Monroe based Duck Commander, owned by the Robertson family of TV's 'Duck Dynasty' fame.

According to Fletcher, the annual game, known previously as the AdvoCare V100 Bowl, will not be the Robertson family's first foray into sports sponsorship. Representatives for Duck Commander recently announced they will also be the title sponsor of a NASCAR race at Texas Motor Speedway.

The formal announcement of the agreement is expected to come at a press conference Wednesday. The Independence Bowl has been searching for a new titl sponsor since its agreement with AdvoCare ended two months ago.
