Bizarre Superstitions in Louisiana

I've heard of some bizarre superstitions, like stepping on a crack on the sidewalk will result in your mother breaking her back, but some of these are downright outrageous, and I've spent most of my life here in the Bayou State.

Did you know that if an alligator crawls under your house, it's a harbinger of death for your family? Only in Your State has come up with some far fetched superstitions that supposedly only people in Louisiana believe in.
