A local woman is arrested for forging and cashing business checks that belonged to a client of the Bossier City accounting office where she was employed.

During their investigation, detectives with the Bossier Financial Crimes Task Force found out 57-year-old Jody Lee Pike had cashed checks totaling $41,000 while she was a bookkeeper at the Hudnall CPA office in the 1000 block of Gould Drive. Pike allegedly made the checks out to herself and forged the client's signature on each one.

Pike was booked into the Bossier City Jail on forgery and theft charges, then transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility.
