Meet Sam and Lexie, two senior chihuahuas who came to PetSavers Shreveport together. These two are ready for a home that understands older dogs and are ready for lots of love and kisses!

Sam and Lexie are 12 and 14-years-old respectively. Both are fixed, heartworm negative and up to date on all of their shots. They also get along with other dogs and cats. These two didn't end up in the PetSavers Shreveport shelter because they're bad dogs... Their owner had to move out of state and couldn't take her dogs with her because of her their new living arrangements.

Here's what the folks at PetSavers have to say about Sam:

I'm Sam, and I came with my friend Lexie to Pet Savers. Our owner had to relocate and couldn't take us with her. I'm 12 years old & lived with her for my entire life, so I'm pretty sad to not be with her anymore. But I love all the people that come to visit me & I LOVE to be held & petted! I'm neutered, house-trained & I get along with other dogs, kids, and cats. My adoption fee is $100.

And here's what they have to say about Lexie:

Hello everyone, I'm Lexie. I came to Pet Savers with my friend Sam. My owner said my coat used to be black, but now that I'm getting older, my silver is really starting to come out! I can be a little shy at first but once I get to know you, I will follow you around & ask you for treats all day! I'm spayed, house-trained & I get along with all living things... cats, kids, dogs, you name it! My adoption fee is $100.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with these precious angels, they just happen to be seniors and most folks tend to want to adopt puppies. If you can find it in your heart to give these two a home, I know I won't be the only one to be deeply grateful! I got the chance to meet Sam and Lexie and get to know them thanks to Sarah Ramirez at PetSavers. These two have a lot of love to give! Here's what Sarah has to say about these sweet babies!
