June 1st has been the traditional start of the Atlantic hurricane season for decades. However, the end date has been slowly shifted outward, from October 31st to November 15th until its current date of November 30th.
Even with temperatures soaring it is still surprising that just last week eight children were left alone to die in hot cars.

Notice the brightness of the neon lines? The brighter that line, the stronger the storm. Interesting how the strongest storms are not over the Ark-La-Tex, isn't it?
