Yesterday afternoon /evening (07/23/14), I think all of us in Northwest Louisiana were a little shocked by the weather. I didn't even think it was supposed to rain and then bam! You have a severe weather cell move in. There were reports of power outages and trees down all over the Ark-La-Tex.

With that being said, I love watching a storm roll in over the pastures at our horse farm... that is, of course, after all of the peeps, ponies, puppies and puddy tats are all taken care of and accounted for.

This is the view from my front porch yesterday afternoon. What scared me, is that you can clearly see the storm blowing in from the North in a southerly direction. If you look closely, you can see our arena in front of the red barn. Note that the wind, at ground level, was blowing the sand from south to north. Creepy!
