As this new movie is about to come out, my excitement for the movie itself and the story-lines are as close to the original, as they can be, set in modern times. I am SOOOOO Excited! My youth will be relived!!!

On the Farrelly Brother could make a Stooges movie as true to the original as this. Thinking about it, they are the ones who gave us Airplane and Dumb and Dumber...and now:

Looking back at original The Three Stooges, my father is the one who introduced me to them, via Slam Bang Theater, a Dallas based TV show (KTVT channel 11)  that starred Icky Twerp. The show had local comedy for kids, in the same manner of Pee-Wee's Playhouse. It was very slap-stick and in the same vein as The Three Stooges.  Keep in mind, when I watched Slam Bang Theater, it was dialed back to just Three Stooges episodes and classic Heckle and Jeckle, Underdog and George of the Jungle cartoons. Most kids I knew at the time didn't appreciate the cartoons, as much as we all LOVED the Three Stooges segments. (What is interesting, today, we all love the cartoons that we saw on Slam Bang Theater)

As an example of what makes the Stooges great for me were slap-stick comedy like these:

"They Stooge to Conga" 1943

"All the World's a Stooge"

Then there is the classic Pie Fights.

Thankfully, this new movie will have all of the examples of what makes The Three Stooges great for a whole new generation of fans.
