Erin’s High School Football Picks For The Week

I only missed 2 games last week: the Calvary Evangel game and the North Webster North Caddo game. I am 81-14 on the season....doing pretty good in picking these games, but this week could be tricky.

Thursday night games....Green Oaks is hosting Bossier. The Bearkats will win this one.

The other game Thursday is quite the rivalry: Shreve and Byrd at Lee Hedges. While this is a fun week at both schools, this should not be a contest on the football field as Byrd wins easily.
Friday night's big game is in Haughton where the Bucs host Parkway. A sellout crowd is expected for this annual parishwide community event. After watching both teams loste to Byrd, I think the Panthers will win this one....but it's one of those games that you really never know what will happen. Well worth the price of admission, but get there early.
Other games on Friday night:
Woodlawn is at Lee Hedges to play Fair Park. I'm going with the Indians to get their 3rd District win.
North Caddo heads to BTW. I think North Caddo gets the win and will move to 7-2 on the year.
North Webster stays home to tackle Evangel. The Eagles bounce back from a heartbreaking loss to Calvary to win this one.
Calvary stays home to take on Mansfield. The Cavs get another win.
Airline is hosting Southwood. I'm taking the Vikings to keep pace for the 2nd place spot in 1-5A.
The Benton Tigers are at home to host Minden. This is a big game in 1-4A. Both teams are undefeated in District play. Both have 3 losses, overall. I've got to give this to the home team, the Benton Tigers.
Loyola travels to North Desoto. I'm going out on a limb and taking the Flyers in this one.
Northwood stays home to play Huntington. Both teams are struggling this season, but I think Northwood will get its first District win.
