OK, I have been working on this stupid recipe for two months!  After about $200 dollars worth of olives, etc,  I think I've got it!  Perhaps you want to try it.

Muffaletta

6 ounces black olives

6 ounces green olives with pimentos

1 6 ounce jar of artichoke hearts

1 medium red onion

2 cloves garlic

1/2 teaspoon celery seeds

1 teaspoon basil

1 teaspoon oregano

1/4 cup red wine vinegar

1/2 cup olive oil

Drain all juices from olives.  Keep juice from artichokes.  Put all ingredients in food processor and mix.  Do not overchop...it will turn soupy.  This is the best olive mix I have ever tried!

Now for the sandwich:

Spread olive mix on both sides of bread.  Then put equal parts salami, ham, provolone and mozzarella. Put in oven and heat until cheese melts.

(I am going to substitute turkey for ham and will let you know how that works)

Dee-lissshhhhh!
