Erin’s Review Of “Hunger Games”

I know this sounds stupid, but I think they could have changed the plot just a little and changed the killing to “freeze tag” and made a better movie!!! I know that would never happen….a movie about freeze tag wouldn’t sell any tickets. But, I’m not into violent films and all the graphic stuff makes me look away. I must admit that I think the premise of the movie is very intriguing…reminds me of “The Lord of the Flies”. And of course, we all knew the heroine, Katniss would win (hope I didn’t give it away…LOL). Woody Harrelson has a great role in the movie as the trainer. I also loved seeing Lenny Kravitz as one of the heroine’s helpers. Donald Sutherland also has a pretty substantial role in the film as the President rof Panem, a country divided into the Capitol and 12 districts. Each year two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. The games are televised and all citizens are required to watch. I must admit, I really do want to read the books and I will go see the sequel.

The movie brought in $155 million in revenues for the weekend, leaving all other movies in the dust.
