Virginia College in Shreveport/Bossier City will host a friends and family open house for former, current and prospective students and the community on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the campus located at 2950 E. Texas St., Suite C. While learning about the educational opportunities available to Shreveport/Bossier City-area students at Virginia College, attendees are also invited to help spread holiday cheer and give back to the community by collecting Toys for Tots and non-perishable items for local families in need.

Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy and/or a non-perishable food item to be donated to Toys for Tots and food banks in the area. This event is part of a nationwide effort taking place on 31 campuses in 10 states including Virginia College, Ecotech Institute and Golf Academy of America, all career schools owned by Education Corporation of America, to support those in need during the holiday season.
