Is Jennifer Lopez Headed Back to ‘American Idol’?

Could Jennifer Lopez be returning to 'American Idol' later this year? Well, it appears the former singer / actress who left only a year ago could be returning to join another Jennifer - Hudson - at the judges table when the show resumes production in the fall.

Stories persist that Lopez and her management have been in talks with ‘Idol’ producers even before Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj announced they were leaving the ratings troubled show. Friends of Lopez hint that returning to the show would give her more time at home with her five year old twins, Max and Emme, and that being in LA will also allow her to focus on her film career and fashion line.

But others contend that for a 43 year old singer whose pop hit days are behind her and last movie ('Parker' with Jason Statham) was a box office bomb, the steady $15 million 'Idol' salary looks pretty enticing.
