Former LSU quarterback JaMarcus Russel told reporters last week that he has a tryout coming soon with the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens. Russell made the statement in Chicago where he was working out for the Bears.

Russell, who's attempting to return to the NFL after leaving the Oakland Raiders in 2009, was described as 'inconsistent' throwing the football during his Bears workout, although the former number one pick was also described by ESPN's pro football guru John Clayton as 'impressive'.

Russell, who says he's lost nearly 60 pounds for his attempted return, played only three years for the Raiders and was paid nearly $39 million. In his final season at LSU Russell led the Tigers to a 10 and 2 record and a Sugar Bowl win over Notre Dame.
